Seasonal Part Time Sales Consultant

Looking for a friendly enthusiastic Sales Consultant to join a growing new bridal and formal dress boutique.  As a Sales Consultant, you will greet customers and assist brides, grooms, mothers of the bride/groom, bridesmaids, and teenagers going to prom/homecoming find the perfect dress or tuxedo for their special occasion.  Sales Consultants will also assist with consignment take ins and marketing.  

The qualified candidate will be flexible in a fast paced environment while providing a stellar customer experience.  1 year minimum customer service and/or retail experience required.  High school diploma preferred. Previous bridal experience a plus but not required.  Employment to begin in February 2023. Hours available will be flexible Wednesday-Saturday 10-6 and Sundays 12-5, up to 25 per week during the busy season.  Must be available to work at least 3 weekends a month during the months of March-June and September-November.   This is a seasonal position with hours dropping in between seasons to one day per week or less.


 

Job Description:

  • Meet sales goals/maintain closing rates

  • Greet customers

  • Assist people in and out of dresses in the fitting room

  • Upsell accessories

  • Style brides, prom/homecoming dresses and suits/tuxedos

  • Take measurements and place orders

  • Dress recovery (put away dresses)

  • Assist manager as needed

  • Sensitively and discreetly discuss topics such as sizing, budget, payments

  • Able to provide constructive positive feedback

  • Assist with merchandising, displays and windows

  • create/maintain consignor accounts

  • familiarity with bridal timelines

  • Serve as a brand expert

  • Appointment scheduling/follow up

  • Check out customers on register

  • Inventory management

  • Take consignments

  • May be asked to participate in expos/shows/events as needed

  • Have a basic understanding of alterations

  • Marketing/social media

  • Light cleaning

 

Requirements:

  • Able to multitask in a fast paced environment with little to no supervision

  • Be able to develop fast rapport with customers

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize in a constantly changing work environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 30LBS on a regular basis

  • Able to stand/walk for long periods of time

  • Weekends required

  • Moderate computer skills

  • Willingness to learn and master inventory, sizing and price structure

  • Must have a friendly, enthusiastic, approachable personality

 

Qualifications:

1 yr customer service or retail experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Must be able to pass a criminal background check

 

Pay:

$12/hr + commission (equivalent to $12-16/hr)
